On February 21, 2007, Latvian Minister for Electronic Government Affairs Mrs. Ina Gudele launched EuroTermBank at the Latvian opening ceremony. Other speakers included Prof. Andrejs Veisbergs, Chairman of the State Language Commission, and Prof. Juris Ekmanis, President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. A large audience of linguists, terminologists, language service providers, government representatives as well as media attended the event. Several articles were published in major newspapers.
